Get ready for the ultimate adventure, as 3,000 Jewish teens, coaches, and staff from all around the world converge in Tucson for the JCC Maccabi Games and Access! This week-long extravaganza is open to ages 13-17 and promises to be an unforgettable experience. Join a community of Jewish teens from over 70 delegations across the globe including North and South America, Israel, Europe, and beyond for a chance to make new friends, compete in exciting sports, and have the time of your life!
What Are The Maccabi Games?
The JCC Maccabi Games are an Olympic-style international athletic competition designed for Jewish teens. Since their inception in 1982, these Games have brought together thousands of young athletes from across North America, Israel, and other parts of the world, fostering not only athletic excellence but also Jewish identity and community connections.
Highlights include:
- Opening and closing ceremonies
- JCC Cares community service projects
- Social programming and free time with Israeli Shlichim (young Israeli ambassadors living in the US to share their culture, stories and experiences)
- Evening social events
The JCC Maccabi Games emphasize values such as sportsmanship, community service, and Jewish peoplehood, offering participants a unique opportunity to engage in athletic competition while deepening their connection to their heritage and peers worldwide.
