Parkinson’s Awareness Month

Support, Strength, and Community for Parkinson’s Awareness Month!

JCC Greater Boston is pleased to honor Parkinson’s Awareness Month, raising awareness about Parkinson’s Disease and kicking off the month with a FREE week of Parkinson’s exercise & movement demo classes. From Basic Tai Chi Movement and Cycle to Rock Steady Boxing and Table Tennis, we offer classes for everyone and every body to support adults living with Parkinson’s and their families. 

Parkinson’s Exercise & Movement Demo Week starts Monday, March 31!

All demo classes are in-person only, held at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC in Newton in collaboration with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Step Up Your Movement with Pole Walking! 

NEW this April, experience the benefits of Pole Walking with Learn to Pole Walk for Health & Fitness. Led by a certified Urban Poling Instructor, participants will learn pole walking technique, stair/step navigation, and strength & balance exercises for a full body workout. To kick off the series and to learn how pole walking can be part of your exercise regimen, join us on Tuesday, April 1 for the Indoor Pole Walking Workshop with Heather Mistry PT, DPT.

Both programs are open to the entire community; registration is required. 

Rock Steady Boxing Fight Back Fundraiser | April 11 (World Parkinson’s Day)
