Join Ariella Amshalem of La Famiya Safaradi for a learning and tasting event celebrating diverse Passover traditions, inspired by her own family’s journey from Turkey to today. Come hear about the Sephardim of Turkey—their history, their beloved language of Ladino, and their Seder traditions and foods unique to the Judeo–Turkish kitchen. Stay for a tasting of three delectable treats and tea, and go home with a recipe you can use for your own Passover meals!

Ariella is an American-Israeli Chef and Chef Instructor who founded La Famiya Safaradi to share the richness of Sephardic culture and history through the lens of food and language. Sephardic Jewish cuisine has been a staple of her life since childhood, watching biscocchos, bourekas, fiveyos, fritadas, and roscas form like magic in her grandmother’s hands.

Cost: $10; JCC Member Cost: Free
