Train like a boxer while building self-confidence and self-assuredness in this all-levels boxing and total body conditioning workout. In this class, led by Todd Buster Paris, USA Boxing Certified Boxing Trainer/Coach and USA Boxing Amateur Athlete in the Master Boxer Division, receive instruction on proper stance, body positioning & punching technique, and practice punches in bunches shadow boxing on the heavy bags, shields and punch mitts. Boxing conditioning work includes jumping rope, pushups, and lots of ab work PLUS partner and teamwork drills. Boxing can help you boost whole-body strength, improve balance, lower blood pressure, lose weight and reduce stress. It’s also a key way to learn discipline and self-control (both physical and mental) and practice the act and art of overcoming obstacles in life. No matter your fitness levels, boxing is a fantastic way to get in shape, have FUN, and tackle whatever challenges come your way. Cost: $230; $180 for JCC Members (No class January 18 and February 15.)
**No boxing experience is required and open to participants ages 13+. Participants must purchase their own boxing gloves for class; suggested glove options will be provided prior to the session.
