There's nothing better than a great book to transport you to new worlds—whether real, imagined, or simply a much-needed escape from reality. This monthly book group, led by staff at Hummingbird Books, will feature a variety of genres guaranteed to spark lively conversation and connection. If you don’t have a chance to finish the book, that’s okay, come anyway!

The March book will be We Would Never by Tova Mirvis, local Jewish author, who will be joining us. Inspired by a true story, We Would Never is a gripping mystery about the extremes to which a family will go in order to protect their own. After Jonah Gelman is abruptly murdered, we follow his soon to be ex-wife, Hailey and her family as they navigate her status as a suspect and the mysterious death of her husband. Part thriller and part family drama, this book explores how in the absence of forgiveness, love and hate can intertwine and turn deadly.

Books can be purchased at Hummingbird Books in Chestnut Hill (or over the phone a 617-487-5101), an independent, local female-owned and operated store with an extensive collection of adult and children’s books. All are welcome. Geared towards adults. Preregistration is required. Questions: adultprog@jccgb.org.
