Young Adult Social Group - Inclusion and Support Services - ages 18-30 - Fall

LSJCC, Start Date: 09/14/2014, End Date: 12/07/2014, Time: 1:00 PM-5:00 PM

(Ages: 18 - 30 yrs) Social, cultural and recreational activities for young adults with mild/moderate challenges. Includes a variety of leisure-time activities taking place within and outside the JCC, chosen by the group members with assistance from their advisors. Participants pay for outside activities. Metrowest Adult Social Group - Inclusion and Support Services - Ages 25+ yrs - Fall

MetroWest, Start Date: 09/14/2014, End Date: 12/14/2014, Time: 5:00 PM-7:00 PM

(Ages: 25+ yrs) Join other adults with mild special needs for dining, mini-golf, movies and other leisure time activities. The group members decide their own activities with the assistance of advisors. Participants pay for community-based activities. Leaders: Jodi Willard, Charlotte Ruskin

Intermediate Tennis - Adults - Fall

LSJCC, Start Date: 09/15/2014, End Date: 10/20/2014, Time: 9:30 AM-11:00 AM

Drills will be targeted for stroke consistency, technique, directional control, depth and dependability. Players will work to sustain rallies, improve net play, develop better touch, and understand court coverage. Doubles play and strategy will also be covered. Doug Maynard

Adult Adapted Aquatics - Inclusion and Support Services - Ages 22+ yrs - Fall

(Ages: 22+ yrs) Weekly swimming class adapted to the needs of adults with physical challenges. Taught by a certified Aquatics instructor, the class offers exercise and socialization to swimmers and non-swimmers in an accessible and supportive environment. Instructor: Lucinda Parker

Beginning Tennis - Adults - Fall

Geared for children ages 0-3 years with adult
Popular children’s entertainer Stacey Peasley is thrilled to combine her love of young children with her musical talents into a lively class that engages kids and creates fun sing-alongs. Using instruments and props, kids will move to music ranging from pop and rock to children’s favorites and Stacey originals.  All JCC arts and humanities offerings are programs of the Ryna Greenbaum JCC Center for the Arts.

Dance Choreography - Adults - Fall

LSJCC, Start Date: 09/16/2014, End Date: 10/28/2014, Time: 11:00 AM-12:00 PM

Take dance a step further and work on your expression and technique. Both an exercise for the body and brain, learn underlying technique in sections until a dance routine is completed and danced with expression. Movements will be lyrical, contemporary, jazz and other genres not often encountered in a group exercise class. No dance experience necessary. Cheryl Umana
